Best Buy Toys For Christmas

As I have talked about many times, I am a huge fan of trying to figure out the best times to make online purchases to maximize savings in terms of both deals and coupons made available by popular retailers. So I dug back through 16 years of data here at Rather-Be-Shopping and figured out when we get the best deals and coupons sent to us in December.

I then broke the data up by product category and was able to decipher the exact day you should shop in order to get the best price between now and Christmas. Use this info as a helpful guide this year and I really believe you can save some significant money.

In stores, Target is slapping QR codes on popular toys so that harried parents trailed by kids can surreptitiously buy gifts with their smartphones. Wal-Mart is testing a same-day delivery service for goods purchased online, a tactic also employed by Nordstrom.

One of my favorite toys offered this holiday season is Parker the Augmented Reality teddy bear. He can be played with as a normal teddy bear, or integrated in with an iPad for even more adventures. As Jaxson is having his 3rd birthday just a couple days after Christmas, I think this might need to be under the tree for him this year.

While there's no definitive explanation for why many cats habitually drop their toys in their water bowls, feline behavior researchers have a few theories. According to experts consulted by pet retailer Chewy, the most likely explanation is that cats bring their toys, or "prey," back to the place they consider their territory, which is most likely to be where they eat and drink. After the first time accidentally dropping a toy into their water bowl, your cat may have found the activity stimulating. Or they could see their bowl as a good place to store their prey for later. Ultimately, we don't know for sure why cats put toys in water, but it does seem to be a natural extension of a cat's hunting and territorial behaviors.

Here's how worried consumers are this year: retailers have already started promoting what would have usually been their best holiday deals--and have been greeted with collective indifference. The response: Is that all you've got? "The deals aren't that amazing, and the Best Buy circular in particular was so disappointing," says Jon Vincent, founder of BlackFriday.info, an online deal site. "Shoppers expected a lot more with the economy hurting." 041b061a72
